About

The Division of Hospital Medicine (DHM) at Zuckerberg San Francisco General (ZSFG) was established in 2007, and now consists of 45 faculty and staff. We seek to provide high quality hospital care for everyone, and to address health disparities through education, research, and advocacy for vulnerable and marginalized populations.

DHM faculty hold a number of important leadership roles at UCSF, ZSFG, and the San Francisco Department of Public Health.

  • Will Huen is the ZSFG Associate Chief Medical Officer and Director of the Kaizen Promotion Office
  • Gabriel Ortiz is the ZSFG Medical Director for Medical-Surgical Care Areas
  • Shobha Sadasivaiah is the Director of Patient-Facing Information Technology for the Office of Health Informatics at the San Francisco Department of Public Health
  • Seth Goldman is the Informatics Director for Technology Integration and Digital Health for the OHI
  • Amy Ou is the Associate Medical Director for the ZSFG Department of Care Coordination
UCSF Graduate Medical Education and Internal Medicine Residency Program
  • Larissa Thomas is the Director of Well-Being for UCSF Graduate Medical Education and Associate Program Director for the residency program
  • David Chia is Site Director for the residency program
