Seth Goldman, MD

Associate Professor

Dr. Seth Goldman is an Associate Clinical Professor at the University of California, San Francisco. He also serves as the Director of Technology and Innovation for the Office of Health Informatics, SFDPH. As a technology-focused informaticist, he aspires to improve the integration of established and emerging information technologies with clinical practice. His current work is focused on preparing for the DPH wide implementation of Epic and is championing an effort to bring smart devices for modern clinical communication and workflows to the acute and long term care settings. Prior to Epic, he has acted as physician lead in the successful implementation of Computerized Provider Order entry at ZSFG and numerous Meaningful Use measures.

He provides direct patient care as a hospitalist at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital in the Division of Hospital Medicine. His clinical interests include working with the under-served and improving clinical communication.
