The University of California at San Francisco (UCSF) Department of Medicine is recruiting clinician-educators and clinician-investigators to join the Division of Hospital Medicine at Zuckerberg San Francisco General Hospital (ZSFG).

ZSFG is a premier safety net hospital and trauma center that is one of the main clinical sites for the UCSF School of Medicine and the UCSF Internal Medicine residency program.Our division highly values physicians who will make a contribution to diversity of the ZSFG physician workforce, and whose background and experience will contribute to our mission of providing high-quality care for the diverse patient population served by ZSFG. Interest and experience in the care of underserved populations is highly preferred.

The clinical responsibilities for faculty hospitalists include supervision of residents on the Resident Inpatient Service and medical consultation/comanagement service, and direct care of inpatients with assistance from nurse practitioners on the Faculty Inpatient Service. All positions include protected academic time and mentorship to develop interests in quality improvement, teaching, and research. Successful candidates will have outstanding clinical and teaching skills, potential for leadership in quality improvement, medical education, research, or another academic area, and a commitment to caring for vulnerable and marginalized patients.

Candidates must be ABIM board-eligible or board-certified. Positions include a faculty appointment at the University of California San Francisco, flexible schedule, and competitive benefits package.
