Shelene Stine, MD, MPH

Associate Professor

Dr. Stine is a highly accomplished medical educator who is the Head of Assessment and Clinical Partnerships for the UC Berkeley - UCSF Joint Medical Program and a member of the JMP executive leadership team. Shelene leads the JMP clinical skills curriculum and has supported redesign of the JMP curriculum to include longitudinal learning in antiracism, trauma-informed care, and other key areas. She has also been a core faculty member for the Internal Medicine residency program at Highland Hospital, where she is a practicing hospitalist.

Prior to joining the JMP in 2018, Shelene was a hospitalist at Cornell Medicine, where she held multiple leadership roles including serving as the Associate Director for the Internal Medicine Clerkship. She attended medical school at Emory and completed her residency in Global Health Equity and Internal Medicine at Brigham and Women's Hospital.
