Dr. Meghan O’Brien, MD, MBE named DHM Director of Faculty Development
Dr. O’Brien has been named the ZSFG DHM Director of Faculty Development. She brings extensive experience and a deep commitment to advancing diversity, equity, and inclusion in medical education. As an Associate Professor of Clinical Medicine at UCSF, she has been a pivotal figure in clinical practice and education at ZSFG.

Dr. Oanh Nguyen named Chief of ZSFG Hospital Medicine
Dr. Oanh Nguyen has been named the new chief of the Division of Hospital Medicine at ZSFG, effective November 1, 2024. Oanh is an Associate Professor in the Division of Hospital Medicine at ZSFG, and a hospital medicine physician deeply committed to advancing care in safety-net settings and serving historically marginalized communities.

Drs. Thomas and Ripp edited "Caring for Caregivers to Be"
Caring for Caregivers to Be, a book that Drs. Jonathan Ripp and Larissa Thomas edited, is now published. It is a comprehensive textbook for medical education and well-being leaders that features chapters from experts in the field of well-being on drivers and measurement of well-being, evidence-based approaches to interventions, and comprehensive program development at the system level to improve well-being for medical students and residents.
