Sara Rubio
Patient Care Coordinator
Sara Rubio (she/her/hers) grew up in San Francisco and received her A.S. degree in Respiratory Therapy in 2008. During this time Sara received training at various hospitals around San Diego including Rady Children’s Hospital and the Naval Medical Center.
Sara has worked in the home health sector for over 10 years where she has worked with many communities around the Bay Area. She has driven patient discharges, provided continuing care at home, and assisted patients and caregivers with managing appointments for follow up care. While Sara is stepping away from her role as a Respiratory Therapist, she is looking forward to joining the Division of Hospital Medicine and to continue to provide support to patients and families.
When not in the office Sara enjoys exploring the Bay Area with her family or taking in the latest exhibit at one of San Francisco’s many museums. She enjoys taking walks with her one-year-old son and showing him all of the many things the city has to offer.
