Lindsay Ryan, MD

Associate Physician

Lindsay Ryan studied at Harvard Medical School and trained at UCSF in internal medicine with a primary care focus, then did an HIV fellowship at San Francisco General Hospital. She has worked extensively overseas as well, including public health work in Mali, health research in Rwanda, and clinical work in South Africa, where she has lived cumulatively for more than four years. Most recently, she has cared for people with advanced HIV through Doctors without Borders. She also holds an MFA in nonfiction writing, and her work has appeared in publications including The Atlantic, The New York Times, The Washington Post, Slate, and Best American Science & Nature Writing. She cares for patients at San Francisco General Hospital and the SFVA.
